This is Sage. He lives with Jarvis and with our Nan and Grandad in Colchester. He was born sometime around September 1998. Both Sage and his sister, Onion, were adopted by our Uncle Dave when they were kittens. Unfortunately Onion went missing when she was still a young kitten and she has never returned, leaving Sage as an only cat until earlier this year (2002) when he moved in with Jarvis.

We're going to meet Sage for the first time this Christmas, and have decided that we'll have great fun when we do! Sage enjoys chasing Jarvis just as much as we do, and it does them both good to get their daily exercise, he he! Sage is getting to be a little portly for his size, so he's been placed on a diet to help him shed some extra pounds. He's not too impressed with this as he doesn't see that there's a problem. He's convinced he's the perfect weight for his height - it's not his fault that he's a little bit short of the recommended height range for his weight!

One of Sage's favourite hobbies is to go in search for more food, and will beg for food from Nan and Grandad in the evenings. He'd spend all day eating if he could, which is one of the reasons why his belly takes a while to settle around him when he sits down! Sage also spends a lot of time belly grooming, which we think he does in order to show off his belly in all its pinkness. When not eating or belly grooming, Sage likes to stalk Jarvis and hunt the bread left out in the garden for the birds. But all this is tiring work, so Sage utilises the rest of the day for some well earned rest in a nice comfy armchair.
