Purrs....

We'd like to introduce Jarvis. Jarvis lives with our Nan and Grandad in Colchester. He was born in late 1995 and found himself in the capable hands of Colchester Cat Rescue prior to finding his present home.

The day Jarvis arrived will never be forgotten! He was a tiny little thing so frightened of Tim that he hid himself underneath the video cabinet. This resulted in a frantic search for him by both our Mum and Nan, until they eventually managed to retrieve him. Jarvis soon let Tim know that, as the cat of the house, he was Boss. During their time together Jarvis used to throw some really disapproving looks in Tim's direction, but he was always pleased to see him if they'd been away from each other for any length of time.

Jarvis' favourite activity is to set himself targets for how long he can sleep. We think he averages a minimum of 21 hours a day! His preferred bed is the cupboard under the stairs, where it's nice and warm.

Jarvis has had the pleasure of spending time with all the Tigger's World cats. When he first met Tigger and Golly he didn't know what to make of them at all! He was confronted with a pair of lively and mischievous young kittens who had absolutely no respect for authority - feline or human! He was horrified to witness them climbing Nan and Grandad's living room curtains, jumping on the dining table, and running up and down the stairs at great speed during the middle of the night. They also managed to corner him in one of the bedrooms and he was too timid to walk past them, needing to be rescued by Nan! His reactions to Mabel and Mungo have been similar, but he seems to be getting used to these occasional visits from young and mischievous interlopers, especially as he's now got Sage to keep him company!
